Just a few miles from Lake Winderemere, Grange Over Sands is a lovely town on the Cartmel Peninsula, with a fantastic promenade. A mile over the fell is the picturesque village of Cartmel, which features a choice of great restaurants and pubs, a Norman priory, and the smallest national hunt race course in the UK. At the foot of Lake Windermere is the National Trust s Fell Foot Park where you can enjoy the grounds, fish and swim in the lake or take to the water with a hired row or sail boat. Opposite is Lakeside where you can hop on a steamer for a round trip of the lake. Other great attractions include Hampsfell, Grasmere, Derwentwater and Holker Hall Entering this stylish accommodation via a small courtyard between the Coach House and the Old Stables, you step through the French windows which take you into the attractive open plan kitchen/diner and snug. Two sets of French windows open out to the veranda and the garden beyond. With comfy seating, TV/DVD and a piano, this is a splendid space to relax in, and also contains a beautiful oak table for grand dining. Exploring further you will find two comfy bedrooms. The first bedroom is off the main hall, to the rear of the apartment and with a king size double bed. Adjacent to this is the bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and WC. The window and glazed door look out to the garden, where you can step out onto the veranda to enjoy the sunrise and an early morning coffee. Outside there is plenty of space to enjoy. The veranda with the lawn in front makes for the perfect place to relax with a drink and a good read, or you can simply watch the tide ebb and flow and the light change across the sands and the bay.
