Guests say

Guests appreciate the well-equipped, clean, and comfortable holiday rental, enjoying the peaceful park, friendly ducks, and good communication. Some concerns over bed comfort and maintenance issues were noted, but the overall experience was positive, with many looking to return.

The property generally received praise for its cleanliness, though there were isolated reports of unclean dishes and areas upon arrival. The majority of guests found the property to be clean, which suggests consistent standards with occasional lapses.

The location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to the Lake District, although some guests were disappointed by the distance from the main site and the presence of a nearby road. The peaceful environment and wildlife were highlights.

Comfort received mixed reviews, with several guests finding the beds uncomfortable, which affected their sleep. However, others found the property comfortable and cosy, indicating a subjective experience of comfort.

Facilities like the kitchen and entertainment options were well-received, but maintenance issues such as leaky taps and outdoor furniture in need of replacement were noted. The presence of a leisure centre was a plus, though some guests were dissatisfied with the additional cost.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no consistent mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the host. While some guests mentioned the lack of a welcome pack, this does not provide enough context to evaluate the category.

About this property

Positioned on South Lakeland Leisure Village in the village of Warton, Cumbria, is this charming holiday home, Number 10. Enjoying a decking with furniture to dine alfresco in the sun and just outside the Lake District National Park this two-bedroom home makes a great base for a family of four and their furry friend. Off-road parking greets you on arrival to make unloading a breeze, from here climb a handful of steps to reach the open-plan living space. The contemporary kitchen offers everything you need for a self-catered stay, including an electric oven, gas hob, American fridge/freezer, as well as a washing machine and dishwasher for a fuss-free clean. When stomachs begin to rumble, gather at the elegant dining table to tuck-in or head out onto the decking to enjoy mealtimes with a view. As the evening cools, retire to the sitting area, where you can relax and unwind with a bucket of popcorn as the Smart TV plays a family favourite. After an action-packed day, look forward to a soothing soak in the bathroom or opt for a quick wash in the overhead shower. Choose between bright and airy bedrooms, with a double with a Smart TV and an en-suite, as well as a twin bedroom, ideal for the younger ones. In the morning, take advantage of the on-site facilities, where the children can have a splash at the swimming pool and the adults can let off some steam at the gym. If you fancy a break from cooking, there is a fabulous bar and restaurant just paces away from your holiday home or for a greater selection of eateries, venture into the market town of Carnforth. Devil's Bridge is a stunning natural wonder that is a must-see for any visitor to Carnforth. Radical Steps is an adrenaline-pumping adventure park that is perfect for those looking for a thrill. Visit the town of Kendal, this vibrant community is home to a variety of unique attractions, including the Kendal Museum and the Quaker Tapestry Museum. You'll also find plenty of great restaurants and bars, including Pedro's Casa, which serves up some of the best Mexican cuisine in the area. The Lake District National Park is a stunning area of natural beauty in the north west of England. With its dramatic landscapes, rolling hills and pristine lakes, it's easy to see why this area is such a popular tourist destination. For a memorable retreat, look no further than Number 10.

The picturesque village of Warton is located beneath Warton Crag, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has a village post office and two traditional pubs offering good beers and food. It is bordered to the north by the Lake District and to the east by the Yorkshire Dales. Walking options abound in the surrounding area, including access to the Lancaster Canal, and the rspb Nature Reserves at Leighton Moss and Morecambe Bay are well worth a visit.

You do need a car to get about nearest bus stop 20mins away, there is no shop on site just small bar and restaurant??, swimming pool and gym.

Good spacious living room / kitchen area and is very well stocked with cooking utensils. My feedback is that the radiator in the main bathroom could do with replacing and an extra set of forks and knives would be a bonus. Overall good value for money
