Tiptoes Lodge is appreciated for its great location, relaxing views, and wildlife encounters. Guests enjoy the hot tub and find the property comfortable and well-equipped. Some guests received a warm welcome with gifts, adding to the pleasant experience. However, there are mentions of cleanliness and maintenance issues, and some guests faced challenges with the hot tub and lack of clear instructions for facilities.
Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the lodge clean and well-maintained, while others reported issues such as stains, rubbish, and mould. The inconsistency in cleanliness experiences has led to a slightly above-average score.
The lodge is consistently praised for its beautiful location, with a peaceful setting overlooking a pond and proximity to local amenities and attractions. The location enhances the relaxing nature of the holiday experience.
The lodge is generally found to be comfortable, with a well-laid-out space and an ensuite in the main bedroom. However, some guests noted that the single beds are more suitable for children and not as comfortable for larger adults, which slightly lowers the score.
Facilities like the hot tub are a highlight, but several guests encountered issues with maintenance and a lack of instructions for various amenities. There were also concerns about the safety and upkeep of the hot tub, which affects the score.
While some guests mentioned receiving gifts such as prosecco and chocolates, which indicates thoughtfulness, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score this category. It is important to note that such gestures are not guaranteed.

My husband spent a good hour or so just getting stains up out of the carpets from previous guests. Both Bedroom and lounge carpets were filthy! Disgraceful that owners can not clean up after their pets! The lodge needs a lot of work doing to it! The hot tap is dangerous in the bath! It literally came off in my hand whilst showering and I couldnât turn tap off without the help of my husband due to how hot water was! The blind in bathroom fell down as we tried to open bathroom window! The curtain rail in lounge above main door looks like it needs repairing! Privacy curtains around hot tub were ripped, zips broken and totally useless! Throughout the lodge numerous electrical sockets where switches were missing and coming off when switching on. Beautiful location but the lodge needs some serious maintenance work!!
