Not enough glasses in the property. Only downside was the garden furniture which really needed cleaned. Great location for exploring the Peak District and two good pubs in the village.

Spare black bin bags would be useful.

The shower in the upstairs en-suite had very low pressure, the heat fluctuated hugely on itâs own and at times the water pressure was so low it wouldnât work at all. The write up stated that there would be a starter pack for the log burner. This consisted of one log and some newspaper!!!! It was very chilly on our first couple of evenings but we were unable to light the fire as the promised fuel wasnât supplied. There was an ant issue in the kitchen. They got into the food in the cupboards. The kitchen was rather short of equipment. Some Pyrex bowls and a measuring jug would have been handy amongst other things. The bathroom towels were small and definitely past their best. As this is a dog friendly cottage it would be nice to have a secure garden but the garden is open to the road and the shared driveway. Furniture in the sitting room not particularly comfortable after a long day walking when you just want to relax. Bigger bedroom could really do with a chest of drawers. Weeds growing everywhere just outside the cottage giving it a rather uncared for appearance. Outdoor furniture definitely needs jet washing. It was covered in moss and lichen. However, beds very comfortable with great pillows and quilts.
