Lumsdale waterfall is just over 3 miles, or why not venture into Matlock and Matlock Bath, just a little over 3 miles away. With a blend of antique shops, Gulliver’s Kingdom, independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, there is a vibrant environment just on your door. There is Lovers Walk by the river, or for a more adventurous walk, High Tor is a steeper walk but offers stunning views. The heights of Abraham are also in this area, with a café, restaurant, and two cavern tours. Haddon Hall is just over 4 miles, with stunning gardens and the larger Chatsworth is a little further at just 6 miles, offering you a great opportunity to visit some of the stately homes in the region.

We had a lovely short stay at this cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodation was extremely clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here as the location was great.

We had a lovely week in this cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Ideally situated for walks right from the doorstep and visits to surrounding areas of interest. Very dog friendly enclosed paved back garden. Only issue was the parking is very restricted outside the house and we had to reverse out the uneven lane as the turning point was too tight. Plenty of parking in the adjacent road if unable to park outside.
