Knoll cottage in Youlgreave is praised for its cosy charm, stunning location, and good-sized rooms. Guests enjoy the proximity to beautiful walks, local pubs, and a vibrant village atmosphere. The access path's steepness is noted, and while some minor issues are mentioned, the responsive landlord and well-equipped property contribute to a delightful stay.
The cottage is generally described as clean and well-kept, with only a single mention of a 'doggy smell' in one room, suggesting an isolated incident rather than a common problem.
The location is highly praised for its beauty, proximity to nature, and local amenities. The steep access path is mentioned, which may affect those with mobility issues.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.
A lovely cottage in a wonderful location, clinging to the side of beautiful Bradford Dale in picturesque Youlgreave village.
Grasping to the edge of Bradford Dale, in the quieter part of beautiful Youlgreave is Knoll - a really lovely, traditional cottage. Comfortable furniture and attractively decorated rooms, adorning the cottage’s original features, you’ll feel right at home. Snuggle up in the lounge next to the glowing log burning stove and watch the flames dance about while spending some quality time with your loved ones.
You won’t be disappointed with the incredible views from the cottage. Sit outside on the sunny patio and enjoy the peace and quiet of the valley. Youlgreave is a lovely village, with history around every corner and banks on the Dale perfect for picnicking. Stroll towards the nearby village shops and pubs, or wander down to the Dale and seek out kingfishers in the river before exploring the rest of the amazing countryside and the Peak District.
Jump into the car and a short drive away you’ll find Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the beautiful town of Bakewell, famous for its delicious Pudding. There's plenty of other attractions, such as Crich’s tramway, Carsington’s wild waters sports, Castleton's Blue John caverns and Caudwell’s heritage and craft centre. Knoll is a perfect place to get away from it all.

A very quiet cottage with beautiful views. Lovely location for walking and only a couple of minutes from nearby pubs.
Mr Grant
Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. Nice that it's positioned off the main road, but access is down a steep path so not suitable for everyone. Cottage was well equipped and clean, a very comfortable base for our week in the Peak District.
Mr Schroder
Had a lovely stay at Knoll cottage, very comfortable, with all amenities, great view out front and ideal for traveling around the Peaks. Within walking distance of local pubs and local store which stocked most essentials. Access to cottage from road is by an inclined path, but once you have transferred your belongings in it's not a problem.
