Brookside Cottage in Buxton is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful garden. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, the property's proximity to local amenities, and the peaceful yet convenient location. The welcome pack is a delightful touch, though it's noted that such gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed. Some minor suggestions for improvements are made, but overall, the cottage offers a lovely stay in the Peak District.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and very clean. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of their stay.
The location is frequently highlighted as excellent, with the cottage being in close proximity to the village centre and local amenities. The quiet setting combined with easy access to dining and walks makes it an ideal spot.
The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, with high-quality bedding and a cosy atmosphere. However, a few guests noted that the lounge seating may not accommodate larger groups comfortably, which slightly impacts the score.
Facilities are well-regarded, particularly the well-equipped kitchen. The garden and outdoor seating are also appreciated. Some minor issues are raised, such as the need for additional pillows and cutlery, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs.
While guests express gratitude for the welcome pack, there are not enough reviews explicitly mentioning thoughtfulness in other aspects to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it's noted that gifts like the welcome pack are a pleasant surprise but not guaranteed.

The cottage is so well equipped with everything needed for a great stay. Top quality beds bed linen towels etc. Great location as well. We will definitely be coming back. Have looked to booked for next year but looks like cottage is booked up for most of the year. So will have to look at 2026.

The property is very clean and relaxing. It is well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. There are plenty of walks nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Can I suggest a gate at the rear garden patio to make it an enclosed area for dogs and children.
