Guests say

Cheshire View in Buxton is highly praised for its immaculate condition, modern amenities, and beautiful location. Guests enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable layout, and the hot tub, which was a highlight for many. The property is ideal for family gatherings and making memories. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, but overall, the property offers a peaceful and enjoyable stay with lovely countryside views.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests noting it as immaculate, sparkling clean, and well-maintained. One review mentioned a film on the hot tub water, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, with beautiful countryside views and convenient access to local attractions. It is ideal for walks and exploring the Peak District, although one review mentioned a wasp nest nearby.

Most guests found the property comfortable, highlighting the cosy lounge and comfy beds. However, one review suggested the beds could be more comfortable, and another raised concerns about window safety for children.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the hot tub and well-thought-out kitchen. Some reviews, however, pointed out issues with maintenance such as a door handle problem, hot tub water level, and a non-working oven.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches like welcome drinks and cards. While these gifts are mentioned positively, it is important to note that such gestures, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

With access to a private hot tub and enclosed garden, and great positioning to nearby attractions, this contemporary property is perfect for large families and makes a wonderful base for exploring Buxton and the surrounding Peak District National Park. Inside, be charmed by the tastefully-decorated, contemporary interior, the quality of which is on full display in the well-appointed, amply-equipped kitchen/diner, where a huge dining island takes centre stage, serving as the social hub of the house where the whole group can prepare and enjoy tasty meals whilst catching up on the day's events. The beautiful semicircular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens, and The Opera House were all conceived and constructed during the 18th and 19th centuries, though, under the patronage of succeeding Dukes of Devonshire. These spectacular structures and grounds, as well as the Opera House's full schedule and yearly festivals of music and the arts, are still enjoyed by visitors today. With rocky peaks to the north and mild slopes and dales to the south, the area is well-suited for walking. Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton, and Edale are just a few of the charming towns and villages that can be found there. We stayed for a weekend and had everything we needed. Half hour pleasant walk into Buxton although it’s slightly uphill coming back! Plenty of room for 6 of us. Nice views of the countryside. Hot tub was great. Would definitely stay again.

  • Rita

Nice clean house and garden on quiet estate, the hot tub was enjoyed by everyone. Think the living room would be a struggle for 8 people to fit in.

  • Donna

The beds were very comfortable, it didn't feel cramped with 8 adults there was plenty of room. We will all recommend this house, it was brilliant. Thank you for a lovely, clean and well equipped house. We will be visiting again soon. 5stars.
