Nice feel when you enter. Clean and everything in good condition. Comfy double bed in main room (small room not used). Comfy sofa. Well equipped kitchen. Breakfast bar setup feels a bit strange at first but works fine once you get used to it and makes best use of the space. Overall very happy with our stay. Description of house accurate.

Never done that before and it was just as good second time around. The cottage is quaint and cosy, fitted out and maintained to a high standard and has everything you would need. The village is just beautiful, with spectacular views wherever you look with lots of lovely walks and cycle routes nearby. The bus stop just around the corner means you can get into Holmfirth in no time and leave the car behind. There is also the fantastic Butchers Arms, which serves delicious food and drink, literally a minutes walk away. The owners, Ash and Nicola, couldnât be more friendly or helpful and make you feel extremely welcome. We will no doubt be back for a 3rd time soon and would definitely recommend Chimney Cottage to anyone looking to stay in the local area. David, Rachel and Bailey.

Parking is a big issue, with nothing allocated to the cottage itâs first come, first served. The chairs at the breakfast / island are too high to eat comfortably from and the cooking utensils are limited. The shower is very awkward to get in and out due to limited space and would benefit with a handle being fitted. Entrance is also very restricted, especially after walking all day and returning with muddy boots, back packs and dying for that cup of tea.. Overall, well renovated for a tiny cottage but well over priced for the âluxuryâ tag.
