Park up, unpack, and make yourself comfortable in your delightful new dwelling, where you and your loved one can get to work rustling up a delicious, home-cooked dinner whilst you soak in gorgeous lake views from the window in the fully-equipped, bespoke kitchen, which you can savour at the dining table before you sit back to enjoy a film or two on the wall-mounted Smart TV in the sitting area. When sleep calls, head upstairs to refresh with a rejuvenating shower on your way to finally settling in for a much-needed rest in the plush double bedroom. This pleasant village lies in the beautiful Tanat Valley at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains, only 4 miles from one of the Seven Wonders of Wales - the magnificent Pistyll Rhaeadr (240 ft high waterfall). Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant was the location for the successful film, The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain, and more recently the film Nativity 2 starring David Tennant. The village boasts two general stores, a newsagent, a Post Office, a butchers, three pubs, a café, a fish and chip shop, and an Indian takeaway. It is surrounded by stunning countryside, providing walking trails for all abilities including the Berwyn Ridge Walk and a trail to the summit of the waterfall. Discover Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, the National Trust Powis and Chirk Castles, medieval Shrewsbury and Chester and the wonderful Snowdonia National Park.

    A nice touch arriving to milk ,tea,coffee ,sugar and a bottle of wine. It is a beautiful area and certainly recommend the cottage and plan to return.
