Marine Terrace in Shrewsbury is a well-decorated property with a high standard of furnishings, offering beautiful river views and a convenient location close to town amenities. The hot tub is frequently mentioned as a highlight, although some guests experienced issues. The property is praised for its spaciousness and suitability for groups and family gatherings.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, with several guests satisfied. However, there are mentions of areas needing a deep clean, and specific issues such as dirty marks and rubbish under furniture, which slightly lower the score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the town centre, picturesque setting by the river, and easy access to local amenities, making it an ideal spot for visitors looking to explore Shrewsbury on foot.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces cosy, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, some guests noted issues with mattress comfort and lounge seating, which affects the overall comfort score.
While the property offers excellent facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms, there are recurring issues with the hot tub and Wi-Fi, as well as maintenance concerns like leaks and electrical faults that impact the score.
There is insufficient information regarding the presence of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, this score cannot be accurately assessed and is set to null.

Awaiting a response from you. This property could be so good with a bit of care and some basic cleaning standards.

Very well presented , loved the decor, and the open plan kitchen / living area was a great space to all be together. Our host was also very accommodating and helpful. It was in a great location , once we'd parked we didn't need the car for the rest of the weekend, some gorgeous bars and resteraunts, very impressed with shrewsbury as well as the gorgeous house.

I am not one for leaving bad reviews but really feel I had no choice here as the owner not only has no regard for his guestâs safety or cares if they have a comfortable stay, but he has ignored me and made me out to be a liar! The place is advertised as âluxuryâ. I can see how maybe it once was, as itâs thoughtfully decorated and itâs in a great location - however itâs tired and not in a great state of repair (dirty marks on the walls / damaged furniture etc). The whole place needs a thorough deep clean. The ownerâs standard of cleanliness are simply not up to scratch, as even when I presented him with photos (filthy fridge seals / kitchen cupboards with food debris / mouldy bathroom tiles etc), he brushed it off as nothing. For me, a place being clean is one of the most important factors in a holiday rental and our whole party felt uneasy with how unclean it was - particularly the kitchen. We had a 2 nights stay and on our last night we returned to the property late at night to find a leak from the living room ceiling. It had damaged some of our things that were on the table and appeared to be coming from the ceiling light, which was extremely worrying. When raised with the owner, he brushed this off as nothing, as he did with all the other concerns I raised. Looking back at previous reviews, which I wish Iâd done before booking, this is clearly an on going issue that hasnât been resolved. The leak happens in heavy rain. Frankly, itâs an accident waiting to happen - itâs dangerous and shouldnât be rented to guests until resolved!!
