Once you see the impressive local church, the Parish Church of St. John The Baptist Westfield, your detached country cottage is near, very near. Surrounded by the rolling Sussex countryside, you will find this tucked away converted barn just off a nice country lane. An ideal base for winter or summer. You can bring your furry friend too.
The owners have designed the cottage with light and space in mind and given it a contemporary feel with a traditional twist. The airy and very generous open plan living / kitchen area is completed by a lovely cooking island and breakfast bar. The bathroom with free standing modern bath, walk in power shower is pure luxury and interlinks into the equally sumptuous bedroom. There is also a separate dressing room for your clothes and luggage.
After a day of exploring, walking or shopping in Hastings, Battle, Rye or Tenterden what better place to relax in the summer than in your own garden; just put your feet up and listen to bird song while drinking a nice beverage. Or pop over to the local pub or restaurant, both a short walk away.
This cottage is at ground floor level and suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

We has a lovely week in Ivy Cottage which was extremely comfortable and quiet. We were lucky with the weather and the cottage is in a great location for visiting national trust properties and the coast. We can recommend Ivy Cottage you will not be disappointed.

Cottage was lovely but unfortunately we found the fridge to be dirty, as well as some of the kitchen cupboards/drawers. There was a wet, smelly cloth on kitchen sink. The lounge area was fine, as was bathroom. The bedroom was ok,but the bed was terrible! It was so soft and had no support whatsoever which made for a week of poor sleep. The bed also had a waterproof mattress protector which didn't help. Overall the cottage was lovely, but could do with a few tweaks. Sadly there wasn't a welcome pack. I've not yet stayed in a cottage that doesn't at the least have milk on arrival, and a kitchen pack with clean cloths wouldn't go amiss. The garden was lovely, but as a shared garden. One of the bathroom windows is overlooked by the main house and only has a net curtain at the window for privacy, which is fine during the day, but when you are in there with the light on, you can be seen from outside, which isn't great. Privacy glass, or a blind would be beneficial. The cottage WAS lovely, but sadly its the little things that make it go from mediocre to good. However a great area for exploring, Rye is a must, as is Hastings Old Town. The local pub was a 5 minute walk from the cottage, as well as a local butcher/deli and a village shop. Various supermarkets in Hastings too

Beautiful accommodation which is a great size for a holiday stay for a couple. It was ideally located with a short car ride to most amenities. We thought that we would be sharing the garden with another holiday let but to our great surprise there was only one cottage on site. The garden is shared with the barn and the owner Harrison and his dog Fred but they were most friendly whilst at the same time respectful of our privacy and got the balance just right. We would highly recommend and think this was great value for money.
