At night though, the space becomes a warm and comfortable haven, with the wood burner gently crackling as you snuggle on the sofas and bean bags. On warmer evenings, throw open the doors and step outside, sinking into serenity as you watch the gentle waves from the natural beach garden, which leads directly onto Pevensey Bay beach. It’s a great spot for a delicious al fresco dinner, the tantalizing smell of barbecued food mixing with the fresh and salty sea air. Throughout the property, you’ll be welcomed by a subtle and homely decor, perfectly blending with its enviable waterfront location.

Enjoy a short walk to Pevensey (1.5 miles) and discover its striking castle, now an English Heritage site. Eastbourne is just a little further along the coast (5.5 miles), where you’ll find its famous pier and the Sovereign Harbour, as well as galleries, fantastic eateries, and fun amusements. The Observatory Science Centre (also 5.5 miles) and Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway (4.5 miles) also offer great days out that the whole family are sure to enjoy, while animal lovers should head to Drusillas Park at Alfriston (10.5 miles) to meet the lemurs and penguins.
