Forever Summer is a well-liked cottage in Lymington, praised for its clean, comfortable interiors and convenient location close to local amenities and attractions. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy living areas, and comfortable beds. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of a dog-friendly garden were noted, the property generally receives positive feedback for its ambience and facilities.
The property is frequently described as clean and well-maintained, with high standards of cleanliness. However, a few reviews mentioned dust and a blocked shower, slightly lowering the score.
The location is highly praised for being within walking distance to the town centre and close to pubs and restaurants. Its proximity to the New Forest and coastlines is also appreciated.
Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and the living areas cosy. Some concerns about heating and steep staircases are noted, but overall, the property provides a comfortable stay.
The property is well-furnished with a fully equipped kitchen and spacious parking. Some issues with shower temperature control, lack of an espresso machine, and absence of a welcome pack slightly affect the score.
While guests mention information packs and the provision of a portable radiator, there is no consistent mention of gifts or welcome packs, and thus it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness in this context.

Lymington is on the west bank of the Lymington River at the western end of The Solent, near the New Forest National Park. Regular ferry service to the Isle of Wight makes it a popular sailing destination. The town has many boutiques, craft shops, and restaurants. Lymington is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, from the New Forest's heathlands and ancient woodlands to the 5-mile-long coastal nature reserves that end at Hurst Castle, built by Henry viii in 1554. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, we felt as four aging adults, we would have liked an additional comfortable chair in the lounge. We had difficulty with programming the television with BT box, as there were no instructions, and only managed it on our final night. Also there were no instructions regarding rubbish collection. I would recommend the property, and stay again when in the area.

Plenty of regional attractions too

It has parking (probably easiest for one car only due to the telegraph pole) and is only 5 minutes walk into Lymington. We have stayed several times due to it's convenient location near to a relative. There are just a couple of niggles though. One is that the temperature for the shower in the top room can't be turned down more than a degree as the mechanism is jammed. So, if you don't like very hot showers you have to use the other ensuite. That is inconvenient and bot always possible. We have mentioned this before in a private message to the owners via Sykes cottages but it hasn't been dealt with, which is a shame. The other thing is that there are no instructions for the TV and BT box so it is difficult to work out how to use it. Finally there was no welcome pack which is very unusual. Just a small pack with some essentials like bread and milk, biscuits or a bottle of wine is common and makes your guests happy. If these things were sorted out then it would definitely means 5 stars across the board.
