Experience the Isle of Wight like never before, starting off your journey with an exciting ride on the Red Funnel Ferries, directly from East Cowes. Just minutes away, you'll find the Victoria Recreation Ground, an excellent spot for enjoying a leisurely game of tennis or a relaxed walk under the sun. To finalise your exciting journey around the Isle of Wight, take time to savour the sights of Newtown's Old Town Hall, an intriguing bit of local history preserved by the National Trust. Return to the serene retreat that is The Chapel, an idyllic home from home where inviting nights in and unforgettable days out begin.

The small, scattered village of Northwood nestles between the pretty Shropshire market towns of Wem and Ellesmere, and consists of a handful of houses and an excellent pub with adjoining restaurant. Historic Wem, home of the infamous Jeffrey's “the hanging” Judge and renowned for its real ales and the modern Sweet Pea flower, has provided a central point for local trade since Saxon times and its weekly market still holds this tradition, attracting visitors from across the county. The beautiful town of Ellesmere, with its Medieval streets littered with Georgian and Victorian houses and quaint, half-timbered buildings, is situated just 6 miles away, amidst an area known as Shropshire's Lakeland, and offers an abundance of shops, pubs and fine restaurants. Take a boat trip across the magnificent glacial mere out onto the Llangollen Canal or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Aboretum and Cremorne Gardens with its wonderful wildlife and scenic walks. Stokesay Castle, medieval Shrewsbury and Ludlow and the fascinating museums at Ironbridge are all within easy reach. A lovely location, with something for everyone.
