Unfortunately we’ve been unable assess this category comprehensively enough based on the reviews we’ve received from guests about this property.
The host's thoughtfulness is a recurring theme, with mentions of a warm welcome, homemade cakes, and provisions for both guests and pets. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed.
Bembridge 2.3 miles. Located with the old English village of St Helens is this punchy pink property; St Michael’s House, a wonderful detached property ideal for families or a group of friends looking for a tranquil treat on the Isle of Wight, you can even bring the dog along for a coastal adventure! The house features a lovely large sitting area, fit with a gas fire that looks like a woodburner, it adds to the quirky character that runs throughout the property, with ample seating and large bay windows overlooking the back garden, it’s the perfect place to watch woodland nature no matter the time of year. Head up the staircase within the sitting area and into the three bedrooms; a double, a twin and a single, all providing ample wardrobe space, so you can be prepared for all of the indecisive weather choices of the Isle of Wight. In the mornings, be sure to head to the kitchen to prepare a wonderful breakfast to keep you going through your day of exploration, in the summer months head to the back garden with your coffee and sit amongst the beautiful flower beds while the dog gets his morning exercise. St Helens is a lovely residential area, scattered with places to eat and extremely close to the coast, take a walk across the beachfront before heading to the Hungry Bear for a bite to eat. If you’re after coastal cuisine, we recommend The Best Dressed Crab, right on the seafront, it offers wonderful seafood for you to take away whilst you explore your surroundings. To get a closer experience of the seas, be sure to head to Bembridge Marine or Harbour Office, where you can hire boats to take to sea, or for the more advanced water lover, check out the yacht and sailing clubs. Shanklin Chine is a must see whilst in the area, just a short drive away, this wonderful tourist attraction offers glorious waterfalls, walkways, and a heritage centre where you can find out about the history of the area.
St Helens is a wonderful village situated near the coast of the Isle of Wight, found in between both Bembridge and Seaview. A traditional English village, it's a great area for tourists to explore English heritage, with The Duver just a short walk away, it offers magnificent lands to explore, with a shingle and sandy beach for the kids to enjoy amongst the views of the historic St Helens Fort. The village hosts lots of local amenities too, with restaurants, a children's playground, and sporting pitches, there's something for everyone.
