This is a good walking area and visitors can follow footpaths onto the downs where there are wonderful panoramic coastal views. Nearby is one of the island's most popular seaside resorts of Shanklin, with its beautiful large sandy beach which gently slopes to the water and is ideal for swimming and paddling. This delightful resort offers everything you need for a fantastic holiday with a great range of activities, a traditional amusements and the enchanting Old Village featuring the unique leafy gorge of Shanklin Chine. There really is something for everyone here. Nearby places to visit include Amazon World Zoo Park, the picturesque village of Godshill and the medieval castle of Carisbrooke. The seaside towns of Sandown and Ventnor are with an easy drive. This lovely cottage has been lovingly converted from the original stables of Apse Manor House and dates from approximately 1695, and retains a number of original features including exposed beams. On entering you will find yourself in the homely and spacious lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, a Smart TV and CD player with iPod dock, the attractive and welcoming lounge is an ideal space to relax in. Moving into the kitchen/diner you will find a charming dining area. You will find the fitted kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. Stairs lead you up to the first floor where you will find two cosy bedrooms. There s a double room with a TV and a twin zip and link which can be made up as a second double room or as a twin room for children upon request (2ft 6 beds). There is also a bathroom complete with a hand held shower and a WC. The cottage has a pleasant enclosed sunny courtyard with garden furniture and a BBQ so you can enjoy dining outside. A gate opens into a further area where two cars can be parked beside the cottage.
