Guests say

Swallow Cottage is frequently praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen. The location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and walks, with a friendly pub nearby. Guests enjoy the character of the property and the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. Some concerns are raised about maintenance issues and the dog-friendly policy.

The majority of guests find Swallow Cottage to be spotlessly clean and well-presented, contributing to a comfortable stay. A few isolated incidents of cleanliness issues are mentioned, but they do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The cottage is well-liked for its location, offering easy access to Kent's attractions and walks. The proximity to a friendly local pub and the peaceful setting are highlights. Some guests were surprised by the exact location, expecting it to be closer to Herne Bay.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, especially noting the comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests mention that the living space can be tight for four adults and that the sofa is small.

Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the kitchen appliances and dedicated parking. Maintenance issues such as a broken basin plug, a lifted laminate floor, and a non-stop bathroom fan are noted, suggesting room for improvement.

While guests mention welcome gifts such as milk, biscuits, and tea, there is not enough information to determine if these are consistent offerings or one-off occurrences. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will always be provided.

The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice to have milk and tea/coffee on arrival. It was really helpful to have a parking space and we really enjoyed our stay.

A few minor points:- Bulb in wall light in lounge needs changing. No salt/pepper. Non-slip bath mat needed. Bath quite slippery. No welcome info./ guest book. Many thanks to the owner for replacing broken hairdryer which was replaced within 15 minutes of phon call.

The walks were perfect and on your doorstep with them beautiful views. The first night the rain was so heavy and we had an annoying tapping noise in the main bedroom but this didn’t happen again. The bathroom the plug basin doesn’t hold the water so need action . You went the extra mile with the tea coffee sugar milk on arrival and use of the dishwasher and washing machine
