This cosy Grade II listed cottage is the perfect choice for couples and families looking to enjoy both the coast and countryside. Arundel is a delightful town steeped in history that offers plenty of activities for couples and families. The imposing castle and cathedral spire dominate the skyline whilst a wealth of independent shops, restaurants, cafes, and pubs are nestled below. Beyond the castle grounds, Arundel Park extends north towards the South Downs offering many fine walks. A two-mile walk to the top affords fantastic downland views and south to the coast. The River Arun winds its way around the town and is a magnet for wildlife, whilst those looking for some seaside fun can hop in the car to nearby Littlehampton (4 miles) for a relaxing day at the beach.
The front door of this charming Grade II listed flint cottage opens into the comfortably furnished lounge/diner that features two sofas arranged around a wood burner fire and Smart TV, perfect for cosying up on a chilly evening. A large dining table with seating for all offers the perfect place for relaxed family meals or an evening of after-dinner board games. An archway from the dining area leads through into the well-equipped kitchen that has everything you will need for whipping up a delicious meal. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the first of the bedrooms, a comfy king size bed, and the family bathroom is also on this floor. A further set of stairs take you up into the eves of the property where you will find the second bedroom which has a day bed and a trundle so can be used as a twin bedroom if required
A door from the kitchen leads out into the fully enclosed courtyard garden with patio seating. From here you have magnificent views of Arundel Cathedral which is beautifully illuminated at night making it a perfect spot to enjoy the garden long into the evening.
Please note that the property is located in a narrow cul-de-sac, which can make parking and turning round your vehicle difficult. We would therefore advise that parking outside the cottage is only suitable for a standard sized car, there is additional parking in the surrounding streets.
