Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found Penhaven to be clean and well-maintained, though a few noted areas where deeper cleaning and attention to detail could improve. Cobwebs and dust were mentioned, suggesting occasional oversights, but these instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beautiful coastal walks, beaches, and local amenities. The convenience of a nearby community shop and play park adds to the appeal. The steep hill to the beach is noted, but does not detract significantly from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests consistently report that the beds are comfortable and the property provides ample seating and space for relaxation. The presence of a secure garden and a play park nearby is appreciated for both children and pets. Some guests suggested that additional seating in certain areas could enhance comfort further.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and utility room. However, some guests experienced issues with showers, DVD players, and lights, indicating room for improvement in maintenance. The availability of a games room and a good selection of board games is a plus.

The thoughtful gestures of a welcome hamper and other provisions are frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests. While these gifts are warmly received, it is important to note that such offerings, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The house is well equipped and comfortable. The welcome basket was lovely. Supplies were made available and although we came well-stocked ourselves, we were grateful to find rice when I couldn't find ours at the 11th hour. We made good use of all the spaces including the garden. The bunk beds would only work for children, so 8 adults is about the max it can comfortably accommodate. Crackington Haven is a beautiful spot, the pub and bay is a 25 minute walk away, longer on the way back because it's uphill. There are lots of interesting places nearby, great if you have your own transport, and also much of it is on a bus route - although we didn't try this out. I would love to come back here.
