About this property

This romantic barn conversion is situated in a dreamy countryside setting less than 5 miles from Port Isaac and shares its grounds with Trevenning Barn and the owner's residence. This rustic retreat designed for couples possesses immense rustic charm. Thick granite stone walls contain a spacious interior beneath dramatic tall vaulted beamed ceilings lit with chandeliers. Modern and classic style furnishings blend tastefully and guarantee a comfortable stay. Enter through a stable door into an open plan living room with a large Gothic-style picture window and far reaching views over neighbouring lawns towards a serene rural backdrop. There is a well equipped kitchen and dining area with steps up to a sitting area with a comfortable settee and armchair. Further steps lead to a mezzanine floor with a king size bed a modern shower room and separate WC. There is a courtyard garden blooming with a mass of English cottage-style plants and use of a shared open lawned garden. Romantic strolls can commence from the doorstep through scenic countryside footpaths or on the moorlands nearby at Bodmin. Close to the Atlantic Highway, the cheerful seaside towns and villages at Port Isaac, Padstow and Boscastle and the long tracts of sandy beaches at Polzeath and Trebarwith Strand are within easy reach. A perfect destination for exploring Cornwall's north coast.

Port Isaac is a small and picturesque fishing village on the Atlantic coast, until the mid nineteenth century, it was a very busy port, handling goods such as stone, coal and timber. Stunning views of the harbour can be enjoyed whilst walking along the cliff top, whilst the harbour itself provides the perfect spot to relax and while away the hours. The delightful harbourside pubs offer a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. In the summer months fishing trips can be taken from the harbour. The popular ITV series, Doc Martin, is filmed in Port Isaac, and the village was also the location for Poldark.
