Carines Barns - Par in Newquay is highly praised for its cosy, clean, and well-equipped accommodation. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as welcome treats, and the property's proximity to local beaches and villages. While most experiences are positive, there is a mention of maintenance issues with the oven and a misunderstanding regarding the garden's enclosure.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests noting the excellent condition upon arrival. One isolated incident of dissatisfaction does not significantly impact the overall high standard observed.
The location is frequently commended for its convenience to beaches and local amenities. However, one guest's discomfort due to the inability to open a window slightly affects the score.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds and furnishings to their liking. The property is described as cosy and relaxing, although one mention of excessive heat slightly lowers the score.
Facilities are generally well-received, particularly the kitchen. However, there are concerns about maintenance, such as the oven tripping the fuse board, which suggests room for improvement.
While many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures, such as treats and a bottle of Prosecco, there is not enough information to determine if such gifts are a consistent offering, and thus the score is set to null. It should be noted that while these gestures are appreciated, they may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Was not as listed. Did not have an enclosed garden, the fourth "wall" was the height of a wellington boot. I received a call back from a colleague who said that the owner admitted that this wasn't an enclosed garden and that the website would be updated. This didn't help with our problem though. An enclosed garden was the most important part of the property for our needs (three dogs) and we wouldn't have booked it if we had seen that fourth wall. We were told that I was expected to supervise my dogs while in the garden - I agree but our level of supervision was very different to the person who occupied the holiday property behind us, they could supervise their dogs from the door when they were let out which we witnessed. We however had to put our shoes and coat on and the dogs on a lead to take them out to the garden. Then to add insult to injury on our return we received an email accusing us of theft of a knife block and money had been taken from our account to replace the knife block that we didn't steal. The email also included the following "Please let us know if you have any further questions about this" which I did and requested someone to call me as when I called the phone wasn't answered. However, instead replied via email sending a copy of T&C's and that if I wasn't happy to go through small claims court. The whole experience caused great upset and we don't recommend dealing with a company like this.
