Porthgwarra is a small, coastal village resting upon the Penwith Heritage Coast in Southwest Cornwall, near the iconic Land’s End point. Set upon the coastal path, with historical landmarks of Gwennap Head Daymark on route, and with a delightful haven of Porthgwarra Beach within reach, both visitors and locals can enjoy the beauty of the village, before grabbing a bite to eat at Porthgwarra Cove Café. For a hub of amenities, nearby Sennen is home to a convenience store, and the First & Last Inn pub, both reachable via car, along with the Surf Beach Bar, located upon the golden shoreline. Travelling east from the village will bring you to Porthcurno, with beautiful, turquoise waters to take advantage of, where you’ll also locate The Minack Theatre, PK Porthcurno Museum, and the 3 Cove Lookout hiking area, whilst Penzance Promenade is a must for a full day out, brimming with galleries, shops, eateries, and a hub for watersports. Wonderful rural location just minutes from the picturesque Porthgwara Cove, with excellent access to coastal paths. Great walks for us and the dog, with Seal spotting opportunities. The cottage was peaceful, comfortable with plenty of space inside and in the garden. The views of the open countryside and the sea in the distance were a joy to wake up to in the morning. In addition, although the location was right by Porthgwara Cove, it still allowed us easy access to all the other places of interest in the area. Will definitely return soon. Tony, Sheena and family.

One assumes the boiler is serviced regularlyâ¦also the other room near front door was more than wiffy couldnât use that room⦠As with many properties we have stayed in over the years a job for me to find a comfortable seatâ¦mostly too soft and low down. I shouldnât be 6 foot tall with arthritis in knees preventing from easily getting up and down.. The beds comfortable though so I did survive ! I wondered wether the floors had been washed as I washed the kitchen one and the water was black..the mop was very heavy too needs lots of muscle..Apart from that we thought the hamper VERY GENEROUS. and all things Cornish Thank you for that and milk and bread etcâ¦shelf in fridge door needs some glueâ¦thanks Norah Cutts
