About this property

This quirky, ‘Hexagon House’ is ideally situated in Goldsithney, Cornwall, perfect for visiting several well-known tourist attractions and popular surfing beaches across the region. Embodying an outdoor living feel, guests can relax in the indulgent hot tub, spend time in the sun on the expansive sun terrace, or dine alfresco, offering the perfect space for a sunny holiday. With unique, hexagon-shaped rooms and tower, the home is eclectically furnished, fusing a historical colonial ambiance with lovely antiques and artwork to give this vacation home a chic but playful vibe. Enter the stylish kitchen/dining area through the huge oak door, which is furnished with a family dining table and subtle scandi-green accents; the kitchen is well-equipped with a dishwasher, oven, and stove, as well as a washer/dryer. A 42" internet TV is available in the main bedroom, which also features a super-king-size, six-foot-wide antique bed along with a lovely plantation design with white shuttered windows and soothing seaside colours. The en-suite bathroom features a sleek bath with chrome claw feet, a shower over it, and a delightful Caribbean-style tile mural with palm trees and tropical birds in a frame made of driftwood tiles. The lovely, hexagon-shaped lounge, which also serves as a great sunroom with expansive views, is located upstairs; this room also serves as a children’s bedroom, with two plush, 3-foot wide, single beds available. Head through the patio doors to access the sun terrace, where you can dine and enjoy a sundowner as the sun sets over Cornwall! If you can tear yourself away, the home is close to one of the best beaches in the country, Perranuthnoe, whilst the must-see UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mounts Bay, with its long, golden sand beaches and magnificent fortress on an island named St. Michael's Mount is within driving distance. Two fantastic pubs with outdoor dining spaces are nearby, located in the centre of Goldsithney's ancient hamlet, and more fantastic restaurants and cafés can be found in Perranuthnoe and Marazion. The Praa Sands beach, Hayle's three-mile beachfront, and the historic fishing communities of St. Ives and Porth Leven are all close to the Hexagon House and make for fantastic day trips. While the property has private, off-road parking, making it simple to travel the area by car, you can catch a bus to Falmouth or Penzance from outside, stopping at many other interesting spots along the route. Experience it all at The Hexagon House.

Goldsithney, a typical Cornish country village with charming homes, shops, and village pubs, is tucked away from the shore and hence avoids the big tourist crowd while still being accessible to all the major attractions. St. Michael's Mount, an offshore island fortress that dominates the area and is only two miles away, must be reached via causeway when the tide is out. Fantastic beaches, the coastal walk, which winds its way over the cliff tops, and plenty of sailing and fishing are all right outside your door. Visit Penzance, which has a decidedly bohemian vibe, the clifftop theatre at Minack, or the breathtakingly gorgeous fishing villages of Marazion and Mousehole—all of which serve as excellent starting points for exploring the stunning county of Cornwall.

The quirky layout and unusual interior design make for a beautiful, cosy vibe. On rainy days we were delighted to just spend time in the house! We stayed with our adult son and his partner, who slept in the lounge room upstairs. The only slight inconvenience was that the only toilet was the en suite in our bedroom, but none of us minded that. We would really love to go back to the Hexagon House!

Everything you need is here to enjoy the most treasured memories. A bottle of bubbly on arrival with chocolates too just add an extra special touch. A responsive and caring owner added into the mix makes this a holiday home that ticks all of the boxes.

Super comfy bed. Great outdoor spaces to relax and read or lounge in in the hot tub. The village has 2 great pubs and loads of amenities close by. A holiday that was worth every penny.
