Lantern Cottage in St. Austell, Cornwall, is highly praised for its superb location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to Charlestown's characterful amenities and attractions. The cottage is well-presented, with a homely feel and thoughtful touches that contribute to a delightful stay. While parking can be challenging during the day, it eases in the evening. The property is ideal for both relaxing and exploring the local area.
The cottage receives consistent commendations for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting its tidy and well-maintained state. One mention of the garden's grass length suggests a slight deduction, but overall, the property is celebrated for its cleanliness.
The location is frequently described as ideal, with easy access to Charlestown's harbour, restaurants, and attractions. Some guests note the inconvenience of parking and the distance to corner shops, but the location's charm and convenience are well-regarded.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with cosy beds and a homely atmosphere. However, a few guests mention discomfort with the beds and a snug shower room, suggesting room for improvement in this category.
The cottage is equipped with necessary facilities, and guests are generally satisfied. There are mentions of a well-decorated interior and a useful garden. A minor issue with bed linen and a comment on garden maintenance indicate slight room for enhancement.
While the reviews reflect a high level of satisfaction with the property's offerings and the hosts' attentiveness, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful gestures that would warrant a score in this category.

Bob and Stephanie were really helpful providing advice on local beaches, walks and good places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning, we couldn't ask for better hosts or facilities.

Lovely cottage. We had a slight issue with bed linen but it was soon sorted. Charlestown is a great place to visit. Good restaurants, do book first!
