Guests consistently praise the Nectan cottage for its comfort, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere. The property's location in Mevagissey, Cornwall, offers a quaint village experience with nearby attractions. The hosts are commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, and the cottage's facilities meet the needs of visitors. While the steep hill to the harbour is noted, it does not detract from the overall positive experiences shared by guests.
Reviews frequently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as lovely and well-maintained. The attention to detail in keeping the cottage clean is evident, contributing to guests' comfort and satisfaction.
The location is highly regarded for its proximity to Mevagissey and local attractions, despite the steep hill mentioned by several guests. The picturesque setting and convenience for exploring Cornwall are appreciated, making it a desirable base for visitors.
Comfort is a highlight in the reviews, with guests finding the cottage warm and cosy. The beds and living areas are noted for their comfort, although one guest mentioned a preference for a softer bed. Overall, the property provides a homely and comfortable stay.
The cottage's facilities are well-received, with mentions of a fully functional kitchen, private garden, and parking. Some guests noted the high placement of kitchen cupboards and the power of the showers, but these are minor points in otherwise positive feedback.
Guests frequently express gratitude for the thoughtful welcome packs provided by the hosts, which include items such as wine, bread, and milk. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it is important to note that such gestures, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.
