Head out the door and explore Port Isaac; stroll along the historic harbour, surrounded by quaint cottages and overlooked by the ruins of a medieval chapel, creating a postcard-perfect setting that feels like a snapshot from a bygone era. Port Isaac gained fame as the fictional village of Portwenn in the television series ‘Doc Martin’, and the village's distinctive appearance, with its narrow streets and charming architecture, played a starring role alongside the show's characters. Wander down to the small beach and spend an afternoon watching the fishermen's boats coming into the harbour or take your exploration further as you catch a foot ferry across the Camel Estuary from Rock to the stunning harbour town of Padstow, a true foodie’s paradise. Whatever your preference, you’re sure to find activities to suit all ages in this stunning part of Cornwall, all which can be enjoyed from Tre Lowen.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.

The property is in a great location. We were able to explore the local area by foot and a short drive got us to some of our favourite beaches. The house was large and well equipped with the benefit of private parking. The only thing that let us down slightly was the British Weather.

Everything in the house is excellent quality, even down to the bed linen. The house has everything you need for a great stay. Large parking spot, location is brilliant and lovely neighbours. The only thing we found an issue was how bright it was in the front bedroom of a morning. Would recommend bringing an eye mask. Other than this very minor issue I can't fault the house at all.
