Agar Cottage in Cornwall is a characterful property praised for its comfort, spaciousness, and thoughtful touches from the owners, including homemade treats. Its location is appreciated for tranquillity and proximity to local attractions. While some guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Cleanliness received mixed feedback. Some guests reported the property as dusty with cobwebs and mould, while others did not mention cleanliness as an issue. The presence of dog hair was also a concern for one guest.
The location is highly regarded for its quietness, picturesque village setting, and easy access to local sites and coastal paths, making it a desirable base for exploring Cornwall.
Most guests found the cottage warm, cosy, and comfortable, with comfy sofas and beds. However, some mentioned issues with heating and the property's suitability for tall individuals or young children due to low doorways and uneven floors.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being well-equipped for self-catering. However, there were concerns about the adequacy of heating, the need for maintenance in areas like the shower room, and the description of parking facilities.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful gestures from the owners, such as homemade cake and bread. While these gifts enhanced the experience, it is noted that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.

Owner Mrs ogrady very nice. Not great having to strip the beds before you leave. As you pay a lot to rent the cottage.

The cottage is comfortable and provides everything you could need. Trelights is a Lovely peaceful village close to Port Isaac which is beautiful. We were able to visit many places during our stay. Tintagel, Boscastle, Truro, Falmouth, Polzeath which has a great flat sandy beach and many amenities. We also paid a visit to Healy's cyder museum which is about an hour away but well worth a visit. The owners called in to see how our week was going which was really nice. They were really freindly. I would recommend the cottage and we hope to visit again in the future. Thank you for a lovely week.
