Guests say

Brynmaur Cottage in St. Ives, Cornwall, is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning location with sea views, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the thoughtful touches including a welcome package, and the property's suitability for dogs. The enclosed garden and proximity to beaches and amenities add to the positive experience, despite minor issues with maintenance and comfort.

Guests consistently note the property's spotless condition upon arrival, contributing to a high cleanliness rating. However, a minor mention of a damp-smelling bathroom cupboard slightly impacts the score.

The property's location is frequently highlighted as excellent, with its proximity to beaches, eateries, and stunning sea views. The steep walk from the beach is noted, but does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.

The comfort of the beds and the spaciousness of the rooms are often mentioned positively. Some guests found the sofa less comfortable and the floor noisy, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and secure garden for dogs. However, comments about insufficient bathroom ventilation, a slippery patio when wet, and parking challenges indicate room for improvement.

The welcome package and dog biscuits are frequently mentioned, reflecting the owner's thoughtfulness. It is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

A chair would be nice in the hall to be able to sit when putting shoes or boots on. Beds are lovely and comfortable the kitchen is excellent. The patio was slippy when it had rained. The car port was great and easy to park in. It was a lovely place to stay and we had a lovely time staying there thank you.

It was particularly good that our dog could wander freely in the enclosed safe garden. Instructions were really clear. Thank you!

Washing line was awkward to reach due to position. Shower leaked all over the floor. Good position and lovely views but unfortunately the house wasn’t as clean as we would’ve hoped with marks on the walls and kitchen cupboards and previous guests items left in the house. Plus no hand soap which I would have thought would be a basic item on arrival?
