Stone period cottage situated right in the heart of the stunning town of Colyton, with Seaton just five minute drive from the property. Your best four-legged is welcome too!
This charming, stone, period cottage has a large, enclosed walled garden in the centre of this historic small market town of Colyton between the coastal towns of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis. A couple of hundred metres to the shops, inns and the picturesque River Coly. This property, with its exposed stone walls and wooden beams, has a second living room with a sofa bed for flexible sleeping.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a well-presented and comfortably furnished lounge/dining area, with exposed beams and a door to a rear private enclosed garden with outdoor furniture. The well-fitted kitchen also has a dining table and chairs, adding further flexibility to your stay. The second sitting room has a sofa bed, meaning that 6 guests could stay if desired. Adjacent to this is a shower room with a WC. Take the original steep and narrow cottage-style staircase to the first floor where you’ll find a double room and a twin, both in calm, neutral colours. A bathroom with floor-to-ceiling tiles is on this floor too. An additional child’s folding bed is also available with a duvet and pillows. Please bring your own bed linen if this is required.
The popular small seaside town of Seaton with its superb beach, esplanade, harbour, shops and golf course is 3 miles away. Spectacular cliff-top walks on the Jurassic Coast await and you can make day trips to the pretty fishing village of Beer and onto Branscombe, both within 5.5 miles. The coastal town of Lyme Regis with its famous harbour wall known as the Cobb and plenty of interesting specialist shops, is a 7-mile drive over the Devon border into Dorset. The small thriving market town of Axminster, famous for the Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall River Cottage Kitchen and Deli, also has plenty of shops and a weekly street market and is also only 7 miles away.

Well equipped cottage. It has a nice walled secure garden for our dogs which they loved. One improvement would be a more comfortable sofa and armchairs.

The location of the cottage was good with regards local amenities (shops and pubs etc) and an ideal touring base. The garden was great for the dog and private for sitting or dining outside.

The cottage is in need of a deep clean, improvements are botched! There is no hoover to keep place clean. There should be mention in details that the staircase is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems!
