Delightful house, ideally positioned in the village of Colyton and just a short distance from the centre and beach.
Lovely detached house, with great garden, parking for up to three cars on the driveway. A short walk from the shops and Inns in the small historical town of Colyton and nearby River Coly. Windy Ridge has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside from the rear garden and some rooms in the house, a great place to relax and unwind.
Accommodation:Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms, two double and one bunk room.
Ground Floor:Living Room: comfortable seating and woodburner. Views to garden and countryside.Kitchen: Bright with electric hob & oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave.Boot Room: Storage for walking gear, boots etc. Small W.C., washing machine & tumble dryer.
First Floor:Bedroom 1: DoubleBedroom 2: DoubleBedroom 3: Bunk room
Bathroom: Bath with shower over. (please ensure that the bathroom door is closed when showering as the steam will set off the alarm).

Had to wash pans and crockery before use only 2 dishwasher tablets for a week. No new toilet roll on rings. Needed a really good clean. Hand marks all over glass and windows from previous guests. No carpet on stairs or anywhere upstairs tatty rug on floor in back bedroom. Stained mattress protectors. No blind at bathroom window at front of house. Loose floor dirty boards, no curtains in lounge. Grass needed cutting, rusting nails in pieces of wood in what looked like originally a raised bed. Way overpriced. No bag in vacuum so couldn’t be used as we have a dog. Left early. To top it all Road was being dug up access very difficult!! On a positive views lovely.

Poor cleanliness - mattress protector dirty, pillow dirty. Woodworm beetles in bedroom wardrobe hence all clothes needed washing when returning home even if not worn! Original Cottages were informed and were sent photos. All staff were pleasant and hopefully our next stay (in different property) will be better.
