The Barn in Axminster is a beautifully restored property offering comfort, stunning views, and a peaceful setting. Guests appreciate the clean, well-equipped space and the thoughtful welcome gifts. While some found it a bit pricey and tricky to locate, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many looking forward to returning.
Reviews consistently mention that the property is very clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness.
The property's location is praised for its spectacular setting and tranquillity, though some guests noted it can be hard to find and is accessed via narrow lanes.
Guests find The Barn comfortably furnished and cosy, with a particularly spacious main bedroom, though minor suggestions for additional mirrors and seating were made.
While the property is well-appointed, there are comments about a lack of certain kitchen items and mirrors. However, there is not enough consistent detail to accurately score the facilities and maintenance.
The welcome gifts are frequently mentioned and appreciated, adding a touch of thoughtfulness to the guests' experience. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Barn is in an ideal location sitting on the border of Dorset and Devon and close to Somerset also. This superbly constructed barn style property provides spacious and well-appointed accommodation for four guests.

The generous accommodation includes a spacious king-size master suite with a sitting area and television, dressing area, and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath. The second bedroom has twin single beds and its own en-suite shower room. A large utility room and separate boot room completes the attractive accommodation.

A truly fantastic property, very rural, down a long drive from the road to the Barn (two other properties are also there) the barn is a well built and well maintained barn conversion. The finish is great and the furnishings are of great quality. Everything has been thought through and nothing has been squeezed in there is ample space for everything and everyone. Each bedroom has its own well appointed bathroom. The Barn is in a lovely setting.

Lovely location stunning views , but quite hard to find when you first arrive we ended up in another farm and they gave directions . Beautiful barn really large , lovely size for a family with a huge boot room and utility room , great for the dog nice enclosed garden . Main bedroom is really large with a sitting area and television which was a lovely space . Property was very clean , and the welcome pack was lovely and very much appreciated, some of the saucepans and trays were a little tired but adequate especially when put in dishwasher , probably other holiday makers not checking . A big thank you to the builders who when we told them the tin opener was broken brought us a new one and a bottle of wine as an apology so that was really appreciated . Overall really lovely property , the area is really lovely near to Devon and Somerset and with lots of different things to visit . Biggest thing on shopping list a full length mirror this was mentioned by several people in the guest book . We would certainly recommend the property and hope to return as we love Dorset . One other thing it was lovely and warm so nice to walk into a warm property when you arrive heating was so efficient would certainly be cosy in the winter .
