The adjoining kitchen/diner is equipped with everything needed for a self-catered holiday and is a great space for creating meals which everyone can enjoy together around the dining table. A sunroom at the rear of the cottage is the perfect spot for your morning cup of coffee, looking out at the garden. Heading upstairs, you will find the three bedrooms, a king-size bedroom, a double and a single room with the family bathroom also on this floor. The enclosed garden, at the rear of the cottage is a little haven to sit back and relax with a book, with the table and chairs providing the perfect spot for dining alfresco when the weather allows. West Hill is a charming village with a small convenience store perfect for stocking up on essentials for your stay. The area is crisscrossed with footpaths and woodland walks with nearby Venn Ottery Nature Reserve, a site of special scientific interest. The town of Ottery St Mary is just a stone's throw away and home to a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The birthplace of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Ottery's most important building is the parish church of St. Mary, a magnificent scaled-down version of Exeter Cathedral, situated in the centre.

The regency town of Sidmouth remains a popular seaside destination, a short drive away, where you will find a great range of shops, cafes and restaurants, while Sidmouth Beach is a perfect family friendly spot for safe swimming and rock pooling at low tide. Other popular days out include Exmouth, a lively town on the mouth of the River Exe, boasting two miles of golden sandy beach and a popular spot for water sports or enjoying a leisurely boat trip or fishing trip. Bicton Park is an award-winning World Heritage Botanical Gardens and another popular choice, open to the public all year.
