Guests say

Whitcombe Cottage in Devon is highly praised for its cleanliness, welcoming hosts, and tranquil farm setting. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, including a biomass boiler and car charger, and the property's suitability for dogs and those with limited mobility. The surrounding countryside offers ample opportunities for walks and exploring local towns and coastlines. Some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, but overall, guests report a comfortable and enjoyable stay with thoughtful touches like homemade cakes.

The majority of guests report the cottage as spotless and well-maintained. However, one review mentioned the presence of animal hair and the need for a more thorough cleaning in certain areas, slightly reducing the score.

The location is consistently described as beautiful, peaceful, and ideal for exploring East Devon's countryside and coast. Its proximity to local attractions and suitability for dog walking contribute to a high score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, cosy, and well-equipped, with special mention of the log burner. Some concerns about bed sizes and a suggestion for additional showers indicate room for improvement.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and eco-friendly features. However, comments about insufficient heating, lack of WiFi, and the need for clearer instructions on using certain amenities suggest some areas could be enhanced.

Many guests mention thoughtful welcoming touches like homemade cakes and flowers. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though common, may vary and are not guaranteed.

You were all so welcoming and friendly. The children loved the farm and it was really easily located for where we needing to be. The welcome cookies were also top notch! Thank you

The delicious flap jack helped ! Our only two observations would be the lounge seating was great for two but for four adults it would be it a bit cramped, and some darker better fitting curtains in the bedroom would have let less light in early in the morning. But we would highly recommend the cottage, it was very peaceful, and easy to get around from. Thankyou Nicky & Andrew
