Just a mile to the east, The Blackdown Hills offer more breath-taking walks, with deep valleys, picturesque hedgerows and quiet copses. To the west, the vibrant town of Tiverton (9 miles) is full of character, with a variety of independent pubs and restaurants alongside a tranquil canal featuring the country’s last horse-drawn barges. The area also has a wealth of landmarks and attractions in this stunning part of the county, including Wildwood Escot (8 miles), Crealy Adventure Park (12 miles) and beautiful beaches for bathing, rock-pooling or fossil hunting ( Exmouth 18 miles, Branscombe 15 miles, Beer 16 miles.
