Enveloped by far-reaching, countryside views, whilst offering guests access to a shared unheated outdoor swimming pool (seasonal availability) and manicured gardens, Shillings Cottage delivers an escape for couples, inviting two guests and a furry companion. Park up off-road before walking through the pretty garden to reach the cottage. Step inside to be greeted by the small, yet well-equipped kitchen/diner, where you can prepare and enjoy romantic meals with a glass of wine in hand. On the ground floor, you'll also find a compact shower room, where you can prepare for your coming days. Head upstairs to find the lovely king-size bedroom, with a plush sofa and wall-mounted TV in place, where you can unwind after a day of adventure.
The private patio offers a tranquil setting to enjoy a late-night tipple, as the sun sets over Devon. It was clean, felt like a home away from home and everything worked as described. Diana was a brilliant host. She took time to explain everything to us, especially with the pool and was very helpful. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back!

The grounds were spectacular and the swimming pool was an added bonus. Some maintenance was being done during our stay, this included sanding furniture and sawing. It wasnât a huge problem but it did disturb the peace and quiet somewhat.
