For an adrenaline rush, try coasteering at Watermouth Castle (11 miles) and take the kids to Exmoor Zoo (17.5 miles) and Combe Wildlife Park (13.5 miles), visit Ilfracombe’s Victorian harbour (8 miles) to book a dolphin-watching boat trip.
