Guests have enjoyed Hazelwood Lodge for its tranquillity, well-equipped amenities, and picturesque setting. The hot tub and pool table are popular features, and the property's cleanliness and cosiness are frequently praised. The remote location offers stunning views and dark skies ideal for stargazing, though it requires driving to access shops and attractions. Some guests mentioned lovely welcome touches upon arrival.
The lodge is consistently described as clean and tidy, with only minor comments about it being 'a little tired' in places. The hot tub cleanliness was maintained by guests when needed.
The secluded forest setting is appreciated for its beauty and tranquillity, with stunning views and dark skies. However, the remoteness requires driving to access shops and attractions, which may not suit everyone.
The lodge is considered cosy and relaxing, with an upstairs living room/bar area and terrace. The presence of a pool table and darts adds to the comfort. However, the pool's condition detracted from the overall comfort for some.
Facilities like the hot tub and pool table are highlights, but the pool was a disappointment for being closed and not swimmable. The lodge is well-equipped, but some areas may need updating.
While guests mentioned welcome touches such as cakes and hot cross buns, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent or guaranteed, thus a score cannot be provided.

It's very spacious, light and airy. I'm really pleased for the good quality black out blinds, as I normally use a night mask. When we visited, it was very quite. Only a few other holiday homes where being used. This meant the balcony and hot tub felt very secluded. Its was a real pleasure watching the bats fly around, listening to the owls and star gazing! It was an added advantage having a washing machine and clothes airer. The house was well equipped with additional things like dog bowl, poo bags and dog treats. A welcome gift of milk, scones and clotted cream was a lovely touch. We had a small maintenance issue. However, after sending a text to the contact number, it quickly got sorted out within a couple of hours. I feel the only downside to this holiday area, is its very remote. Be prepared to drive everywhere. Even though the local pub is about 1 mile away, you need to walk down a fast windy road with no pavements or streetlights. As we were with our dog, this was just not an option. There is a beautiful walk on the other side of the road, through the woods. However, be prepared to climb some serious hills! I wouldn't visit the holiday homes because of the 'swimming pool'. I actually feel that the swimming pool area was an eye sore and would much better be made into a grassed area/garden/pond/water feature etc. However, this did not affect our stay and would definitely recommend staying.

It was one of the main reasons I booked this property so we were very disappointed that it was not in use. The sign said closed and there was hardly any water in there and it was evident that it had not been cleaned or looked after in a while. It did not spoil our holiday but I really think it either needs to be removed from the description to avoid further disappointment.

The property is very well equipped and secure with the added benefits of a hot tub and pool table. Beautiful picturesque walks and great location for exploring local market towns and beaches. Very relaxed holiday, thank you!
