About this property

Escape to the North Devon countryside in this contemporary lodge near the quaint village of Umberleigh. The property sleeps four guests and is perfect for those wishing to get away from the humdrum of everyday life, with beautiful woodland walks directly from the property and easy access to the remote landscape of Exmoor National Park.  In the evenings, unwind with a game of pool or a dip in the shared, on-site swimming pool.

The stylish lodge sits within a complex of similar holiday homes, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Inside, the property is bright and airy, with high ceilings, contemporary decor, and plenty of natural light. On the lower floor you’ll find a spacious kitchen/diner with a fun colour scheme, and everything needed to rustle up tasty meals for the group. The two inviting bedrooms are also on this level, one of which has an en-suite shower room. A sleek family bathroom completes this floor. Upstairs, a sociable living space awaits, where you can relax on the L-shaped sofa to watch the TV/DVD or enjoy a friendly game of pool or table tennis. Patio doors open onto the balcony, where you’ll find furniture for al fresco dining. Guests also have access to a shared swimming pool in summer months.

The charming market town of South Molton is 12.5 miles away and has some delightful, independent shops to peruse as well as cute cafes and friendly pubs. The town is on the edge of Exmoor National Park, and you’ll find some beautiful walking routes branching away from the town. Heading to the coast, you’ll soon reach the seaside resort of Westward Ho! (19.5 miles), with its sandy beach, amusements and arcades, fish and chip shops, and independent eateries. Nearby family attractions include The Big Sheep (19 miles), The Milky Way Adventure Park (23 miles), the beautiful Hartland Coast (28 miles) and RHS Garden Rosemoor (10.5 miles).

Lodge exceeded our expectations and we could not fault the lodge or the equipment provided. We would use it again when visiting that area.

A great sized cottage for family of 4 and small pooch, with thoughtful touches like mini pool table, games and Wii. Fabulous balcony view to enjoy with a morning coffee. A very pleasant and relaxing short stay.
