Guests say

Spring Cottage in Devon is praised for its cleanliness, peaceful and rural location, and friendly owner. Guests appreciate the spaciousness, garden, and proximity to local attractions. Some concerns over lack of WiFi, weak shower pressure, and gaps in garden hedging are noted, but the overall sentiment is positive with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of reviews highlight the cottage's cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'immaculately clean' and free from pet odours, contributing to a high score in this category.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, quiet, and ideal for exploring the local area, with beautiful surroundings and wildlife sightings. The steep access road is mentioned, but not as a major deterrent.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the garden lovely. However, some mention the property can be cold downstairs and the shower pressure is weak, which affects the comfort score.

Facilities are generally adequate, but several guests mention a lack of WiFi, limited TV channels, and gaps in kitchenware. The need for better bathroom lighting and stronger shower flow is also noted.

While some guests mention a welcome pack and the owner's helpfulness, there are inconsistent reports about the presence of welcome gifts, and not enough information to score thoughtfulness accurately.

Easy check in. Easy to find, ample parking. Cottage interior tired and enclosed garden still had gaps dog could get through. Lack of WiFi not an issue and had good phone signal. All the crockery and cutlery had a fusty smell and needed washing before using and if you put it away in between it needed washing again as you could taste it! This would prevent me staying here again. Smaller bedroom full of spiders that just kept coming! Appreciate it’s rural - we live rurally ourselves - but this was the only room with the issue. 11 year old wouldn’t go to bed without us checking and removing. Listing had stated there’s an electric meter but there wasn’t which was good news! We had some bad news and had to leave early so couldn’t do the full week. We had a nice stay otherwise.

The cottage was lovely and welcoming on our return from our days out. The garden was beautiful and fully enclosed so our dog could be allowed freedom. I think the sitting room was oour favourite room. It was so relaxing to sit in. The owner made it known that if we had any problems we should just come and get them. We would definitely consider returning there again.

Very cosy and comfortable place although it could do with a few adjustments ie bigger TV and a bigger shower cubicle and a few more knickknacks in the kitchen
