Beckaford View is consistently praised for its stunning views, tranquil setting, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and the property's proximity to walking trails and local pubs. The presence of wildlife and the picturesque sunrise add to the charm. While some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Guests have described the property as spotless, indicating a high level of cleanliness. The attention to detail in maintaining the property's hygiene standards is frequently commended.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to Dartmoor and coastal areas. It is described as peaceful and ideal for walking, although one guest mentioned the lack of a secure area for dogs.
The comfort of Beckaford View is well-regarded, with guests mentioning the comfortable bed and the cosy feel of the property. The sunrise view from the bedroom and the presence of a fireplace contribute to a comfortable stay.
Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests suggested the addition of a full-length mirror, a pole for skylights, and a bench in the garden. The lack of a dishwasher was noted by a guest, and one mentioned the underfloor heating not being warm enough.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the provision of items like eye masks and drinks packets. While gifts like a welcome cake are mentioned, it's important to note that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The location is perfect for walking directly from the house onto the moor or through the valleys without having to tackle the narrow lanes by car and the views are stunning. The house was warm without having to light the woodburner. As a previous guest i was disappointed that there were no pods for the excellent coffee machine and though i had brought ground coffe there wasn't a cafetiere to be found and could de with better kitchen tools - minor grumbles - will be back
