Sleeping four guests and welcoming one dog, the two-bedroom cabin is set on a smallholding run by its owners but enjoys its privacy. Ideal for a family or two couples keen to escape together, it is well located for trips out to the coast, lakes and Dartmoor National Park, as well as to local attractions.

Step into this delightful retreat and find yourselves in an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with beams and a vaulted ceiling. Put the kettle on in the kitchen area after trips out and relax for a while with your book and a slice of the cake you have bought fresh from a local bakery. Prepare dinner while you listen to the radio and while it is simmering, enjoy a film on the TV/DVD. Open the doors on fine days to let the fresh air in and dine together at the table. As day turns to night, have a hot shower in the shower room then head off to one of the inviting double bedrooms. Take breakfast out on the partly covered deck or under the pretty pergola in the morning. Light the BBQ outside in the evenings as the sun goes down. Find plenty of parking at the lodge.

Pack your towels and swimming costumes and head 9.5 miles to the beautiful beach at Widemouth Bay. Offering some 2 miles of sand, this is a lovely spot for swimming and rock pooling. Plan trips into the charming market town of Holsworthy to shop for supplies and for a delicious meal with fresh Devon-produced ingredients. Venture 24 miles to the edge of Dartmoor for an exciting day out exploring the picturesque area.
