Waterland Old Barn in Holsworthy, Devon, is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and secure garden. The property offers lovely countryside views, a games room, and a welcome hamper, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Some guests experienced minor issues, but the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Most guests found the property very clean and cosy, with one report of mould, cobwebs, and a smelly dishwasher. The majority of feedback, however, reflects a high standard of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful countryside views and peaceful setting. It is conveniently close to the Devon/Cornwall border, with easy access to local beaches and amenities.
Guests describe the property as comfortable, with a cosy fire, a secure garden for pets, and a games room for entertainment. The property seems to provide a relaxing environment for visitors.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and games room. However, there were reports of maintenance issues such as a faulty dishwasher and boiler pressure loss, which slightly lower the score.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, providing welcome hampers and being responsive to guests' needs. While gifts are mentioned and appreciated, it should be noted that such extras are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.
