Just a mile away from the iconic village of Corfe Castle, Bucknowle Lodge offers generous accommodation for all the family, and numerous opportunities to explore the stunning Jurassic Coast & wonderful Isle Of Purbeck.
Bucknowle Lodge is an attractive and generous cottage, located just a mile away from the ever-popular village of Corfe Castle. The village is one of the most popular and photographed in Dorset, and was beloved by famous author Enid Blyton, and the setting for her Famous Five Adventures. Steam and diesel trains can be viewed passing by the edge of the village on the tracks that run from nearby Swanage to Norden, and panoramic views across The Isle of Purbeck are your reward for climbing to the top of the National Trust owned castle. The ever-popular beaches at Studland are just a short drive away, and offer endless opportunities for swimming, water-based activities and fantastic walks along the coast and inland heath.
Made primarily of Purbeck stone, this unique cottage offers flexible accommodation for large families or groups of friends, with a semi open-plan layout. With an open-fire in the main sitting room, and a double-sided wood burning stove between the family snug and conservatory, this well-appointed and cosy cottage is the perfect retreat for all seasons. This stylish cottage is decorated and furnished with contemporary furnishings, and in a comfortable and homely style, and boasts space and character features throughout. The majority of the accommodation is located on the ground floor and includes a well-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, a large dining room with small study area, the main family sitting room, a family snug, and a large conservatory with doors to the garden. The master king-size bedroom with its en-suite bathroom, a twin bedroom, the family bathroom, and separate shower room are all located on the ground floor also. On the first floor you will find the two remaining bedrooms, the second king-size and a twin bedroom.
French doors lead to the pretty enclosed rear garden from the conservatory, onto a walled patio made from local stone, with garden furniture seating up to eight guests, and a swing seat. Steps lead you down to the large lawn fringed with attractive mature planting, which offers ample space for outdoor family games, and sun bathing during the summer months.
Bucknowle Lodge is the perfect choice for those seeking peace and tranquillity, as this special cottage has wonderful countryside all around, yet it is within easy reach of the most popular Purbeck attractions, so offers something for everyone.
