As well as the remains of the castle itself, the popular village of Corfe Castle has a choice of friendly places to eat and drink and is home to a beautiful common and a fantastic model village. A steam railway will take you over to the bustling seaside resort of Swanage (5.5 miles) which is known for its Victorian promenade, traditional amusements and sandy beach. Also nearby are The Tank Museum, Monkey World and Durlston Country Park (all within 11 miles).
