We had a fabulous week’s stay at the Magnolias. As mentioned in other reviews, with the furnishings and beds of a very high standard, it was beautiful and relaxing. The stone flooring kept the house refreshingly cool during the sizzling week in July. The house’s location within this picturesque village, really added to the holiday. Just 15 minutes from Hive beach, we would stroll there at all times of the day, through the village orchard or via the cliff top. We also had meals at the local pubs and restaurants. Our days out, included visiting the Swannery and Monmouth Beach for the fossils. The village Post Office and shop had an excellent range of local produce. We were fortunate to be there to enjoy the annual Fair; the Church Tower is open to the public on the same afternoon, so we climbed that too.

The Magnolias was a great place to holiday in Dorset. We very very impressed with the size of the property and gardens. The kitchen had every utensil you might need, even the Aga was easy to get used to. The beds were very comfy, ensuring an excellent nights sleep. On arrival all the rooms were clean. The garden was secure, which our dog loved as well as ourselves. There was plenty of space to park a car. Nearby, there were plenty of walks and things to do. The property was very close to 2 excellent pubs and also the mobile fish and chips shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again when visiting Dorset.

The Magnolias is a lovely house. Very welcoming and comfortably but elegantly furnished. The kitchen is well equipped and has lots of character. The bedrooms were comfy and had nice views. The bathrooms are good. Hot water was plentiful. Everywhere was immaculately clean. It is a really lovely garden with table and chairs which we made good use of in the sun. It is fully enclosed so good for dogs. And if there was no available space at the front we parked just inside the gates which is handy. Burton Bradstock is a very pretty village. Two pubs within easy walking distance and one being very good for food. We found lots to do in the area...Bridport is charming and the Swannery and Tropical gardens at Abbotsbury were good fun. Thank you for a lovely holiday
