About this property

Settled on the outskirts of the picture-perfect market town of Dorchester, on the fringes of the Dorset AONB, rests this wonderful two-bedroom holiday home, 2 Bathsheba Terrace. With a homely interior, sociable enclosed garden, and easy access to a wealth of amenities and attractions, 2 Bathsheba Terrace makes an idyllic base for a group of fours retreat to Dorset. An allocated off-road parking space greets you at the rear of this Dorset holiday home, where you can unload your bags and settle into your new home-from-home with ease. A spacious sitting room greets you, enticing you to kick off your shoes and unwind with a sumptuous spot in front of the television following a day of adventure. The designated chef of the group will find all of the necessities required to rustle up a hearty meal in the kitchen, beautifully-appointed with traditional wooden surfaces, and the sunny conservatory offers the perfect spot to tuck-in. Carry the conversation outdoors and soak in the fresh, countryside air as you toast a glass of fizz to an unforgettable getaway with your loved ones. As the skies grow darker, retreat indoors, and climb the stairs to the first floor to catch your rest in one of two delightful bedrooms, with two double beds to choose from, with the latter benefiting from its own TV, so you can catch up on your favourite shows from the comfort of the covers. A stylish shower room is set across the way, ideal for freshening up following a day of adventure or kick-starting your day with an invigorating rinse. Take advantage of the public footpath that runs alongside your holiday home and leads into the centre of Dorchester, where you'll find all of your local amenities, sure to assist any self-catered stay; treat your loved ones to a fancy meal at Luciano's, fuel a day of excursions with a hearty breakfast at The Pantry, or pick-up some goodies to enjoy from the comfort of your holiday home at Waitrose! Dorchester Train Station puts the delights of the surrounding areas within easy reach; pack your beach-going essentials and journey to the seaside town of Weymouth, where you can spend lazy afternoons paddling the shores or soaking in the sights of the marina, whilst those looking for a spot of adventure may prefer to visit SEA LIFE Centre Weymouth or the Alexandra Gardens amusement park. The best way to explore the sights of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site is with a stroll along the South West Coast Path, with seemingly-endless beaches, coastal villages and historical landmarks waiting to be explored. Whisk your loved ones away on an escape to Dorset with a stay at Bathsheba Terrace.

Dorchester, with its Roman roads, museums, pubs and restaurants, is a must-see during any trip to Dorset. Visit Maiden Castle, England's largest hillfort, or the County Museum, which features a room dedicated to Thomas Hardy, born a short distance away in Bockhampton. Seven miles distant are Weymouth's lovely gently shelving beaches and attractive port, and Portland's rocky peninsula, linked to the mainland by Chesil Beach.

It was very comfortable although we took a bed each as we are used to a super king and the beds were only standard doubles. We had everything we needed for cooking and the Smart TV was useful. The safe enclosed garden was great for our dog. We would definitely stay again.

Well furnished with good quality appliances. Excellent location for someone working in Dorset County Hospital. Sandra the owner was very approachable and maintained the house very well. I would love to come back here if ever in the area. One of the best places I’ve been in
