Guests consistently praise Old Monmouth for its perfect location, unique charm, and spaciousness, ideal for large groups and family gatherings. The property's historical ambiance and well-equipped kitchen are highlights, alongside the convenience of en-suite rooms. While some minor issues regarding waste disposal instructions and parking were noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests eager to return.
The majority of guests found the property to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, there was a single mention of fleas from a previous pet stay, which was promptly addressed, slightly affecting the overall cleanliness score.
The location is frequently celebrated for being central and convenient, close to the beach, shops, and local amenities, making it an ideal spot for guests looking to explore Lyme Regis.
Guests have found the property very comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and the en-suite rooms. There was a single mention of mattresses needing an update, but this did not significantly detract from the overall comfort.
The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and offers ample social space. Some guests experienced minor issues with the music system and suggested better organisation of kitchen items. The need for more parking permits and clearer waste disposal instructions were also noted.
While guests appreciated the character of the house and the welcome pack, there were no consistent mentions of gifts or additional thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. It should be noted that while some guests received a welcome pack, this is not guaranteed for all stays.

A beautiful, comfortable home where we were able to relax. Being so close to the beach for a morning swim was the icing on the 80th birthday cake!!
Richard
House location excellent and accommodated 13 of us plus the dog easily. Maybe some of the decoration looking a bit tired but probably due to the fact that itâs the end of the season. Overall we all enjoyed celebrating my wifeâs 70th birthday at Old Monmouth very much!!
Ruth
Once we alerted Sykes to these issues they promptly sorted the issues. For the size of property one car park pass is not sufficient as this added over £50 to our stay
