Guests say

The Nightingale is a well-received cottage in Weymouth, Dorset, praised for its cosy atmosphere, cleanliness, and convenient location close to local amenities. Guests have enjoyed the comfortable beds, the enclosed garden suitable for dogs, and the property's proximity to walks and the harbour. The cottage's decor and the provision of tea, coffee, and biscuits have been appreciated, although some minor issues with facilities and maintenance were noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as clean and immaculate, with one report of dog mess in the garden suggesting room for improvement in outdoor maintenance.

The location is highly praised for being close to amenities, the harbour, and walking areas, making it an ideal spot for guests with pets or those looking to explore Weymouth.

Guests have found the beds and pillows very comfortable, contributing to a restful stay. The warmth of the property has also been noted, although a suggestion for a handrail indicates a potential area for enhancement.

The property is well-equipped, but feedback about missing items like a masher and chopping board, and a small dog escaping the garden, indicates that some attention to detail is required.

The provision of tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits is a thoughtful touch, though it should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Also a lovely smell of wood when you enter the property. Quiet location and 5 min walk (if that) to the harbour area. Walking distance to Weymouth shops, beach & Nothe Fort. Also a short drive to Durdle Dor, Lulworth Cove, West Bay & Dorchester if you want to explore a little further out like we did. Would definitely recommend this house for your stay in Weymouth.

The property was spotless and we lacked for nothing. It was a good location for either walking on the cliff or down to Nothe Fort and the harbour. There are two steps up into the property which would benefit from a hand rail for people with a mobility problem
