This contemporary abode sits on a cul-de-sac in the idyllic village of Bishops Cleeve, Gloucestershire. Nestled between Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds, boasting stylish furnishings over two floors and views to the Cotswolds Hills, Delabere Road is a wonderful choice for a family of eight and their canine companions. Upon arrival you are greeted by a large driveway with space for up to four cars. Step through the front door and head into the stunning open-plan living space, boasting a spacious, fitted kitchen with several integrated appliances, a centre dining area and a sunken lounge area with corner sofa and wall-mounted Smart TV. Throw open the patio doors to access the garden, offering plenty of room for alfresco dining with furniture across two-levels, complimented by idyllic rural views and even Cheltenham Racecourse less than a mile away! There is a double bedroom on the ground-floor whilst upstairs are two further doubles, one with glorious views to the Cotswolds Hills, and an attractive twin. Completing the setup in the bathroom with a choice of bath and shower over, so you can best decide how to prepare for the day. The local village of Bishops Cleeve offers good amenities, including three pubs serving food, cafés, convenience stores and supermarkets for picking up the essentials; Guests are recommended to visit The Rising Sun pub, resting upon Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds, enjoying breath-taking views whilst offering a homely feel and delicious fare. Just over 3.5 miles away, reach the historic, market town of Winchcombe, where you can discover Sudeley Castle and its beautiful gardens (Katherine Parr Henry eighths wife is buried in Winchcombe), or visit a lovely plethora of tea rooms, shops, and taverns, dotted along the town’s curved streets. Four miles away lies Cheltenham, a historic spa town with plenty of cultural attractions; the town itself is a joyous ramble of leafy boulevards and stunning Regency terraces: stroll around the beautiful ornamental Pittville Park and the famous Pump Rooms before stopping at a local restaurant for some fine dining. The town is also home to a wealth of attractions such as the Gardens Galley, Holst Victorian House, The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum and an Everyman Theatre; you might even have a chance to attend the prestigious Cheltenham races! A little further, around 7 miles away, enjoy visiting the mediaeval town of Tewkesbury, with Tewkesbury Museum and Tewkesbury Abbey awaiting to tour, whilst walking enthusiasts will enjoy traversing the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering countless walking and hiking trails rewarding guests with breath-taking views over the countryside. Broadway, recognised as the ‘jewel of the Cotswolds’ can be reached by car, home to the Broadway Tower, Broadway Museum and Art Gallery, and a lovely assortment of independent shops and galleries, or head to the historic city of Gloucester, just south of Cheltenham which boasts a striking cathedral and preserved river dockyards, perfect for a day out! From Delabere Road, there are plenty of market towns and charming villages to explore, including Stratford-upon-Avon, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Bourton-on-the-Water, packed with amenities and attractions to add to your itinerary. All this and more awaits at Delabere Road.
The bustling village of Bishops Tachbrook in Warwickshire boasts half-timbered buildings, a village pub serving good food and real ale, part of which is believed to be haunted, a well-stocked shop and ancient church. Close by is the beautiful town of Leamington Spa with stunning Georgian and Edwardian architecture, award-winning parks, a range of eclectic shops, restaurants as well as its own theatre and cinema. Take a boat trip on the River Leam, take a look at the elegant Landsdown Crescent or take in one of the many festivals throughout the year. Historic Warwick dates back to Neolithic times, nestled on the banks of the River Avon and boasting a huge array of amenities including traditional pubs, restaurants and tea rooms as well as Warwick Castle, founded by William the Conqueror, Warwick racecourse which hosts many events throughout the year. In the centre of the race course is a 9 hole golf course and driving range. Just a short drive away is Stratford-upon-Avon, which dates back to the medieval times and boasts many historic buildings including Shakespeare's birthplace and Anne Hathaway's cottage, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre, many traditional pubs, excellent restaurants and individual shops, as well as boat hire and cruises along the River Avon. Also within reach is Draycote Water, which offers 650 acres of water for sailors and windsurfers, as well as offering lovely walks, cycle trails, birdwatching and fishing. Explore the charming towns and villages of the Cotswolds where it's possible to visit places that have remained unchanged for centuries. Chipping Norton, Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water, to name only a few, are all within easy reach.
